It's hard to know what kind of a tone to strike with something like this. You want to be playful, but not immature; to sound intelligent, but not pompous. You want to be funny, but fear you may fall flat. And sometimes, even when employing self-deprecation and irony, you fail on all counts.
Now that that is out of the way, here are the facts. My name is Nicholas Bergson-Shilcock. I came to New York to go to engineering school and fell in love with the city. I recently graduated and now work as a software engineer. I love my job.
Before coming to New York, I went to college in Lancaster, PA, where I mostly attended club meetings. I spend a lot of time in my head. I've thought about it considerably, and I would rather give up hot water than internet access.
